Jo Daniels is the CEO of Vision Digital Projects, a production company specializing in live music and theater productions. He is also a performing jazz, R&B, and reggae musician with years of experience in music production and recording.

Elizabeth Carlson is an elementary school educator who has taught at many grade levels and holds degrees from Princeton University (American Studies/English) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Language and Literacy). Her research into North Carolina's musical heritage inspired her to write the show script and classroom curriculum.

Kathy White, a nationally board-certified teacher in American History and English, is a curriculum designer and teacher trainer who has led professional development workshops for teachers around the country. Since retiring from the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District, she has worked as a senior master fellow with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
